How You Can Prevent Osteoporosis

Osteoporosis doesn't happen overnight. It takes years to develop. 44 million Americans have osteoporosis and another 34 million have been diagnosed with osteopenia, low bone mass.
The number one thing you can do to prevent osteoporosis is to exercise. Keep in mind that just walking is not enough. You need to do weight resistance exercise to make your bones stronger and denser. No matter how old you are, or how out of shape you are, weight training will make you stronger and improve your bone health.
The second thing you can do is to drink less coffee. More than 3 cups of coffee a day causes acids in yo
ur bloodstream which your body tries to neutralize by drawing calcium from your bones.
Exercising and reducing
your coffee intake are two things you can do to prevent osteoporosis.
