Tips For Getting The Right Amount Of Vitamin D

Unless you're spending all your time at the beach, eating tons of wild salmon or downing tablespoons of cod liver oil a day, you probably need to supplement with Vitamin D.  Dr. Mark Hyman, a leading authority on Vitamin D research, recommends these 4 tips for getting optimal levels of D.
First, get a Vitamin D test to check your current levels.  Take the right type of D.  Vitamin D3 is best absorbed by the body.  For optimal health, Dr. Hyman recommends taking 2,000 to 3,000 International Units of D daily.  Take your Vitamin D consistently.  It takes 6 to 10 months to bring your Vitamin D levels up if you're deficient.
